Minutes of the 48th Meeting of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association held on 9th July 2026. .

Venue: Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. .

The 48th meeting of the Association was held on 9 July 2026 at 6:00 PM in the Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. As per the agenda, the following discussions, acknowledgements and resolutions were presented before the members and approved by them.

1. Welcome Address: .
The General Secretary, Mr. V Narasimha Rao Garu, warmly welcomed all the honorary members to the 48th meeting of the Association.
Mr. V Narasimha Rao Garu invited President Dr. Jayanth Kumar Garu to preside the chair and then all the Executive Committee members onto the dais.

2. Birthday Wishes – July: .
Members celebrating birthdays in June were felicitated with shawls and greeted:

The following members could not attend the meeting, but the birthday wishes were conveyed to them and prayed for their long life and good health even in their absence:

All the members greeted with applause, and prayed for their good-health and long-life:
For the birthday celebrations, sweets and snacks were generously sponsored by Sri B. Maruthi Ram Garu (₹1,000), Sri A. V. Konda Reddy Garu (₹1,000), Sri M. Venkateshwar Rao Garu (₹500), and Sri V. Yadaiah Garu.
The President expressed his sincere gratitude to all the sponsors.

3. The Financial Report: .
The Financial Secretary/Treasurer, Sri Venu Mohan Rao Garu, presented the financial report before the General Body.

4. President Address: .
The President expressed his sincere appreciation to the team of Senior Citizen members who visited and enquired about the well-being of Dr. Chintala Cheruvu Manik Prabhu Garu, Sri Kasula Bucchi Reddy Garu, Sri Krishna Murthy Garu, and Sri Madhusudhan Rao Garu.

The President observed that the Association has earned considerable respect, reputation, and goodwill among the Municipal Corporation, public representatives, government officials, and the residents of the colony. He appealed to every member to uphold and further enhance this goodwill through their speech, behaviour, and actions, ensuring that the esteem earned over the years is preserved.

He further remarked that, wherever the members go, they receive a good recognition and respect as representatives of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association, Serilingampally.
To illustrate this point, he narrated the story of a father and son, explaining how the value of a precious gem varies according to the place where it is evaluated.

The President also informed the members about the Executive Committee's decision that prior permission from the President or the General Secretary is mandatory before inviting any non-member to programmes organised by the Association.
He emphasized that every member, including himself, must strictly abide by the decisions of the Executive Committee.

6. Conclusion & Vote of Thanks: .
The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by sri V Narasimha Rao Garu General Secretary of the Association.
